Tipster Yield Explained is part of Racing Tipster Radar's evidence-first guide to paid and free horse-racing tipping services. Our aim is not to promise winners. It is to help readers understand what a service says it offers, what evidence is available, and which questions still need answering before money is committed.
Tipster Yield Explained
In tipster reporting, yield is commonly used in the same broad sense as betting ROI: profit relative to stakes.
Why definitions matter
Publishers sometimes use terms differently. Before comparing two services, verify that both calculations use the same stake basis, odds source and period.
Level stakes help comparison
A level-stakes view can reveal whether results depend on aggressive variable staking. It does not recreate every subscriber's behaviour, but it gives a consistent benchmark.
Do not isolate yield
Read it alongside sample size, average odds, strike rate and drawdown. High yield over a small number of long-priced bets can be especially volatile.
Performance claims require evidence. Useful background sources include the UK Gambling Commission's safer-gambling guidance, ASA/CAP gambling and tipster advertising guidance, and structured third-party tip records where methodology is visible. Commercial terms should always be checked on the live merchant checkout.
